Clarence River at Lilydale (Newbold Crossing)

[Dept. of Water and Energy,2007,"Clarence River: Annual Flow Summary For Period Of Record",p.1]

These graphs purportedly show Clarence River discharge levels recorded upriver at Newbold Crossing.
The graphs are predicated on data from 1922 onwards and rely on no data for 1,979 days in total. The years significant for marked data loss are; 1948 which only includes 29 days of data, 1949 which has no data recorded and 1983 which has data for only 198 days.
Therefore one has to wonder about the veracity of annual flows cited by those eager water raiders.
Note the lower levels associated with the current nationwide drought.
